The future is all around us, waiting in moments of transition to be born in moments of revelation" -J. Michael Straczynski

Welcome
Hello! I’m Lesley Glenn, LCSW. My passion lies in guiding individuals through life's many transitions. As the only constant in life is change, life transitions are an inevitable part of our journey. Every person will face multiple significant changes throughout their lives. These transitions, whether positive or negative, can be stressful and challenging to navigate. During significant transitions, you might feel uncertain or lost, struggling with the disruption of your familiar routine. It's normal to experience deep emotional responses such as anxiety, depression, identity loss, or post-traumatic stress following major life transitions. My aim is help you work through these emotions, learn effective tools to cope, and gain new perspectives that can foster growth and healing. When collaborating with clients, I embrace a biopsychosocial-spiritual approach, considering every aspect of their being—mind, body, soul and spirit.
Common Life Transitions:

Relocating can be exciting but also challenging. We crave connection to our surroundings, and relocating disrupts this, leaving us feeling disoriented. Leaving behind familiar sights, routines, and support can trigger sadness, nostalgia, and grief. Emotional ties to our old home can make settling into a new place difficult.

Life transitions often come with a variety of mental health challenges as individuals adjust to new situations and navigate the associated changes. These challenges can differ based on the nature of the transition and individual circumstances. Here are some frequent mental health challenges we can tackle together during these pivotal moments:

Experiencing sadness, grief or a sense of loss is a natural part of life's transitions, especially when they bring about major changes or involve significant losses.

Life transitions, even the exciting ones, often come with a side of stress. It's natural to feel anxious when facing the unknown or adapting to new situations.

Life's changes often push us to reevaluate who we are, what we value, and why we exist. These pivotal moments can ignite an inner battle as we strive to redefine our identity in a new context.

Struggling with anxiety, stress, or adjustment difficulties can disrupt sleep patterns, often resulting in insomnia or other sleep problems.

Navigating life's transitions can be incredibly stressful, prompting some people to seek solace in substance use to manage their emotions which can exacerbate mental health symptoms.

Life transitions can shake up your social circles and support systems, often leaving you feeling isolated and without the support you need.

Feeling overwhelmed can make asking for help difficult. Remember, seeking support for your mental health is a brave choice that highlights your inner strength, not weakness. You deserve a life filled with joy and balance. Start your journey today and unlock the door to a brighter, more hopeful future.
